The modern ICT trends have ushered in global society which is interdependent, interacts and communicate instantly via the internet.

Zimpost, under guidance from the Ministry of Information Communication Technology (ICT), Postal and Courier Services and funded by Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (POTRAZ) is setting up CICs in all districts.

Setting up of the CICs is meant to bridge the digital divide between the urban and the rural communities as most people in cities have access to computers whilst the majority in the rural have limited access to the available technology.
