Zimpost officially launched the Tshelanyemba Innovation Centre, a state-of-the-art facility designed to bridge the digital divide in rural communities of Matabeleland South Province.
The innovation centre provides access to modern technology, high-speed internet services, computer facilities, and digital literacy programs for the local community. This initiative is part of Zimpost's broader strategy to transform post offices into community hubs that offer more than traditional postal services.
The centre offers various services including:
- Computer and internet access
- Digital literacy training programs
- E-government services access
- Printing and photocopying services
- Business support services for local entrepreneurs
Government officials and community leaders attended the launch ceremony, praising Zimpost's commitment to rural development and digital inclusion. The Tshelanyemba Innovation Centre serves as a model for similar facilities planned for other rural communities across Zimbabwe.
